Default Cam gear leak? GSR. (Pics)

Hello HT. Awhile ago, I made a thread asking about scrapyard engines and what to look for when buying one. Well, I managed to get a B18C1 (complete swap) installed for a good price. The engine overall runs fine, it pulls hard, and has no crazy issues. I was able to smell something odd after doing a couple 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear pulls. I popped my hood and noticed that the bottom of my block appeared to be soaked with oil. I also noticed that my driver side mount had some oil, too. I believe the oil is coming out of the cam gears. There was also a very minor leak coming from somewhere under the dizzy and going down to the tranny (I think its radiator coolant). Here's some pictures that I took today:

hit the cam gear area with some brake clean and see where exactly it's from (in/ex) there are little oring/washer that sit just at the end of the cams so that's my guess. for the leak around the block again hit it with some brake parts cleaner and see where my guess is the oil pump gasket isn't sealing. for the leak on the passenger side around the head there are 3 main causes distributer, vtec sol and the cam seal(exhaust).

could also be the VC gasket x2 looked at the pics that whole side is splashed in oil.

Camshaft seals or severe valve cover leak.
And dizzy o ring
But it looks like coolant so check the heater hoses under the distrubotor

I checked all around the valve cover and it doesn't seem to be leaking around it. It's mainly coming from the camshaft area and I'm not sure if the leak is going all the way down to the bottom of the block. I'll take a look at the heater hoses

Alright, good idea. I'll hit it with some brake cleaner tomorrow. Is it possible that the leak around the cam gears is just dripping all the way down to the block? I seriously hope it's nothing serious

If it's been going on for a while yes, more then likely just a 10$ gasket(s) that need to be replaced. btw it never hurts to cut the side of the VC(see pic) and keep the upper cover off like you have all ready.

UPDATE! So I cleaned off the block with some brake clean and found oil coming out of some unexpected places. I highly doubt it's the cam gears now. I found some oil creeping out of some white, bondo looking thing on the side of the block, and behind these 2 bolts next to the header. Anyways, here's some pics:

oil pump seal/gasket. you could just RTV seal it or if you'd like take the crank pulley off and remove/reseal/replace the pump it's self.

Would it be expensive to take it at a shop, or is it simple enough to fix yourself? (if i decide to remove/reseal/replace the pump)

I would imagine they would bill you in the 500$ range(not including parts) if not more. if you've even done a timing belt job it's just one more step. http://www.team-integra.net/forum/bl...nt-g3-teg.html only "hard" part is getting the crank pulley off
