throw out bearing

i put my new throwout bearing on the fork it looks real loose when i tested it by moving the fork like it might pop off the fork how do i know it wont, or any better way to do it i didn't take the fork out btw?

it should just slide/clip in place, the fork doesn't fully extend when you push on the pedal with the clutch all bolted in.
