Default CRX unknown problem help needed quickly

hi everyone, i had a problem with my crx this morning coming home from school, basically i was at a light. turned green, i took off like normal, but then the car started jerking and shaking and stuttering really bad. the first gear sometimes does something like that if you arent steady on it, so i thought it was that. i shifted into second and the same stuff happened. same in third but a little better. in 4th and 5th it would shudder every now and then but not nearly as bad. At this point i was just trying to get home. but then it just died(i think) the oil and battery light came on like when its turned on but not started, and nothing happened when i pressed the gas. so i put in the clutch, gave it gas and dumped it. like when you start it off a dead battery. This worked, but i pulled over because it scared the **** out of me. then i thought maybe something was caught in the fuel pump or something so i revved a little and let it sit for a minute, then tried to make it home. it basically worked but every now and then it'd shudder and stuff like before.
this CRX has no mods, or any work done. Bone stock. 190k miles on it, my dad and i just had to change the fuel filter and distributor i thought maybe that was it, but that was nearly a month ago and i havent had any problems until now.
any help is appreciated

look at the misfire threads, its usually the coil...but can be a lot of other things. plugs, wires, etc.

and dont blindly buy parts, check your spark and fuel pressure, thats the easiest place to start. id also check timing.

Since you said its never been so bad, and you changed your distributor, check out the dizzy for a loose rotor. Sounds similar to prob I had, but my rotor exploded and there I sat.

Sounds like the problem I was having. Check your distributor sounds like a loose connection in there.

if the distributor was changed and you kept the old ignitor and coil it could be either of these two as well. either one of those pieces failing could cause that stuff. its two separate parts within the distributor. each piece is close to 80$ each. when the car is shuttering and bucking are the gauges jumping around? also pull out the spark plug wires make sure there is no oil above the spark plugs this would also cause to short out the spark and cause hesitation.

Is the ignitor new? Or was it swapped over with the new distributor?
