So I recently did a headgasket, thermostat, heater control valve and flushed the core and I have luke warm heat but it wont get hotter. Engine gets to normal operating temp just wont blow hot air. Any help or insight is appreciated thanks again.

 

Did you bleed the cooling system?

 

RonJ@HT, sounds like he's on the right track. This actually happened to my old ef si when I did the complete flush when I replaced the heater core. This seems like the place to start.

 

had the same problem in my 94 coupe and could never figure it out, it was always just luke warm air. my 98 coupe works great though, gets hot in a minute. hope you figure it out

 

Thermostat might need replacing as well. If it takes a while to heat up.

 

i bled the system using a coolant buddy and there should be no air left and the tstat was replaced when i did the headgasket i doubt it would need replacing again all work was done less than 1k ago

Looks like your heater core done pooped out.

 

core flows freely and coolant buddy is the funnel on the rad tool

 

problem fixed the screw that hold the arm on the blend door motor under the dash broke and it was spinning free so when i adjusted the cable the door wasnt moving i have burning hit heat and im happier than ever
