Can out of spec vale lash prevent a car from starting/misfiring.
Just curious, my vote is NO the only affect it will have is a louder tick/tap sound, something ALL 90's Honda's are known for. But open to hear some other opinions/proof. See ppl posting it as an cause of no start/misfiring every now and then threw out here and the civic section.

No valve lash, [too tight] would hold the valve open and you would lose compression, if enough valves are held open, engine will not start due to low or no compression. 94
^^^ Correct. I just rebuilt my head and it was off a bit and wouldn't start. Set them all fired right up.
