HELP!! Broken Sunroof 1991 Civic Si.
Hey I recently bought a 1991 Civic Si and sadly the sunroof doesn't work.
The guy I was buying it from thought that the motor wasn't working so he gave two motors from a junk yard. Or maybe it could be a fuse or problems with the switch. What should I check for first instead of taking the whole thing apart?
I need help on how do I take my roof apart to get to that motor and to the sunroof to check for leaks.
Does anyone know anything or have pictures/videos or a step by step process?
Anything helps, thanks!

http://www.thezcr.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16099 Heres a little troubleshooting guide to try and get you started on the fix hope this helps..
try the switch first. some people hose the inside of the car down with armor all and greasy crap that could for sure ruin the switch after years of hosing. i had a faulty switch from what seemed like precisely this. i bought a new switch which still are available from honda and the sunroof then luckily worked. hopefully you will have something easy like this however a vehicle of this age that has not had the sunroof opened cleaned and maintained will most likely have some cleaning up that needs to be done. I would make sure to have a little time on your hands to do it properly. you will realistically have to pretty much take the entire interior apart to safely drop the sunroof out and remove the motor. the plastics, headliner then disassembly of the actual sunroof. check the switch if it works then check the function of the entire assembly. if you do not have a sunroof wrench get one you will need it. it should be with the lug wrench and jack. you should be able to open the sunroof with this without the motor working. there is a plug on the headliner that you can twist and gently pry out, behind it is a hex bolt which when turned opens and closes the sunroof assembly. it should open smoothly with no crunching noises. if there is crunching there is rust. hope there is no crunching. ah yes the sunroof good times.
