ok i had the SI tranny in....
and tuesday i am getting a DX tranny swaped..
all my resources tell me the DX and Si tranny has same gear ratios, but a different final drive.. its that true??
anyways has any of u guys experience the performance between both tranny's/.. does it going to hurt my performance noticiable??
i really dont care, but i wanted to know, so i can ditch the si tranny or just rebuild it....
if u got any inputs on that tranny feel free to add it.. thanxs guys piece

 

I would be able to tell you if the first 14 pages of the tranny section in the service manual weren't ripped out

 

Si is better for acceleration, DX is better for top speed

 

which youll never use, the SI tranny is better in ALL performance areas. the only good thing about the DX tranny is it generally give you better gas milage. DX and SI trannys have the same exact gears, but a different final drive. if i were you, i would keep the SI tranny and rebuild it, use the DX in the mean time.
