96 Civic won't start, no dash lights

Default 96 Civic won't start, no dash lights

hi guys hope everybody is fine. Guys today i started my car in the morning after 4,5 min of startup the car suddenly stalls and goes off . after that i have experienced that my dashboard lights are not working . Audio,clock and window motors are also not working and also i could not hear any fuel priming sound .only headights and horn is working plz help me what do do .the car in question is a civic 96

Check your fuses, if theyre all good, get a test light to see if your getting power to said fuses. If you arent, id check the engine bay fuses. See if you blew your harness(which i doubt). Let us know.

sir its a 1996 civic with d15b dual vtec engine with matching p2j j11 ecu. previously it was running absolutely fine . started fine in the morning for couple of minutes and then suddenly shuts off and when i inspected it there were no dash lights e.t.c

Doctorake is right we need more info, but do you have the underdash fuse cover? Itll have all the fuses, and all what i listed would be in that location. Theres a "back up" fuse under the hood which controls the radio, and clock, and ecu. I believe the headlight fuse is under the hood while low and high beam is under dash. Power window fuse are also under dash. Does your dome light work? Cluster lights? Any noticeable happened prior? If all that blew out at the same time! It may be battery related. Does the car crank at all?

yes sir i have a under dash fuse cover .Dome light and hazard lights are working .headlights are also running with both high and full beam. and you can notice hazard light and headlights indication on cluster. previously i never notice any such thing like that and the car is also not cranking

you probly have a shorted wire maybe checkbthe fuse box unde hoodsee if any wires look bad also check under the dash fuse box and ecu wires

You think maybe ecu took a dump? Id say blown harness/ shorted wire(s) put another ecu in and see whats up. If that ecu works, then your rare ecu is now rare and broke :-(

ill call my electrician tommorow . I hope its not a problem relating ecu , anyways thanks for your help sir

Guys the problem is solved the culprit was one of the hood fuse and a short wire .
