ok...my car has been acting weird its an 89 crx with a b18a swap....when i drive sometimes it will jerk as it isnt getting any gas and it will also shut off....now i took it to my mechanic and i left it there for 2 days and he said that when he drove it nothing happened...so i picked up my car and it drove fine for about six hours and then it just died...sometimes when this happens it will start back up but other times it wont...if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly apreciated...THANKS

 

sounds like a main relay to me. mine went bad recently and it was doing the same thing. i would be going down the hwy and it would die. when i turned the key forward sometimes it would turn back on and other times i would pull over and eventually it would work. cost bout 60 at honda dealer. and the mechanic could be right cause sometimes it would die ands others it would run fine. hope this helps. the main relay sends the 12v signal to the fuel pump. which would cause it to shut off.
