Rstech/TGR F2K- New All Motor Record - 9.74 @ 138.8
My team and I have been busting our asses for a LONG time, waiting for a chance to write a post like this.
As some may know, I have been chasing the elusive 9 sec AM pass since the end of 2011.
At the Shootout in October, we were #3 qualifier and had the quickest pass of the weekend in the class with a 10.01. Unfortunately, we had some issues with our 16V charger that fried our wiring right before the final round.
My team thrashed like nobody's business in the weeks after the shootout.
Randy @ Rstech made an entire new chassis and engine harness for the car, friends flew in from Florida and California to help get the car back on its feet.
We got the car running the week before WCF with a bunch of new changes in the valvetrain, suspension and made the switch to FTW Red fuel. Went to Atco the tuesday before WCF and laid down a 9.92 and a 9.82. Needless to say, we were EXTREMELY excited for WCF.
WCF weekend is always so crazy, and this one did not dissappoint. We started off with a 9.95, then qualified #3 with a 9.879. Going into 1st round of eliminations we new the time to lean on the car a little bit was now.
We had an internal goal of running a .7X all year long and this was our time.
When I got the slip at the end of the 1st pass for a 9.74 @ 138.8 it was insane.
We have always had a tough time launching my car at WCF when the temp drops, so we had some close calls with wheel hop/spin on some passes but we were able to muscle through it.
I ended up racing one of my best friends, Marc P, in the final. We laid down a 9.75 to his 9.87 for one hell of a final round!!!
I know this may be a long rant/post but there is so much emotion in an event like this for us. We have worked so hard for it!
There are so many people to thank. Without any one of you, none of this would be possible.
Thank you:
Randy @ Rstech-Racing : Simply the man behind everything on this car. From wiring to tuning to general maintenance and most of all friendship. You are the best.

We all did because we care for each others as close friends and teammates. We all do it for the love of the sport. As great as person as you have been to me always, team and the rest of the racing community. I would personally like to salute you and tell you have earned it all. You have never ever turned your back to anyone no matter the situation. This weekend was truly what your nickname is "Hollywood". Because they couldnt have written a better story then they did for you and the rest of the teams success this weekend.

Congrats! That's haulin. Glad I was able to make it to WCF this year to see all motor records broke in person.
For raising the bar. Come a long way Jake. It seems like in such a short while but I guess 2007-09 (H2B days) was forever ago.
