Default Thinking of buying a 2002 LX Auto...

The car has only 54K miles.

I have been reading horror stories of transmissions dieing out of the blue.

Do ALL autos face certain death even with proper fluid changes?

Has anyone met a auto owner that has never had these issues?

They CAN last with proper maintenance. With that low of miles, you may still have a good transmission that can be saved.
