Should I fork out the extra money to get an actual p72-a01 Ecu to match the engine?

Default Should I fork out the extra money to get an actual p72-a01 Ecu to match the engine?

I have a 2000 Civic Si.
It currently has a 1995 GSR B18C1 swapped into it.
However, when it was done, the wire harness is connected to the Civic Si Ecu.
It runs fine, usually no codes, except every once in awhile I'll get a system running to lean code.
Should I fork out the extra money to get an actual p72-a01 Ecu to match the engine? or just keep it as it is and chance it?

Thank you in advance for your input.

I live in St Charles, Missouri. We have obd2 emissions and safety. The IM is stock GSR.
What I plan on doing is getting p72 with conversion (if needed as I don't know if there is a conversion on it already, spliced, or what)
And then when it comes time for my emissions, just swapping my P2T-A11 Si ecu back for the testing.

If it's a stock GS-R get an '00 - '01 P72 and have the immobilizer removed and replaced with a dummy unit or use a '96 - '99 P72 with a conversion harness, both will pass emissions as long as there is no visual inspection, if you do have to pass visual only the first option will work. both will connect to a scan tool (JDM and OBD1 ECUs wont)

It isn't, they just stay open and you lose some low end torque.
