Default Wondering on next step for 96 hatch

I have a 1998 Civic CX hatch. I'm ultimately planning on trying to make it look along the lines of the Type R. I've already installed Skunk2 Pro S II coilovers, running Rota CTR clone rims, and Yokahama YK580 205/50R16. I would like to do a B16 swap fairly soon. Any tips on where to go next? I would like to keep the car fairly civil, but potent.

Dude, what kind of car guy asks people on an internet forum what to do to his car? What don't you like about your car? Change that.

And for god's sake man, don't put a b16 in there. Do a B18 at least.

Fair enough. Only reason I ask is because I'm fairly new to the new chassis and I'm wondering what combinations have worked best for others. Why do excess work when others have already experimented? I'm used to having a somewhat underpowered vehicle. (I drove an 89 ED hatch, did I get that right RYD2?, for the last 7 years) I would like a decent weight balance front to rear and a decent power/weight ratio.

k swap it then if you want a good power to weight ratio, or simply but a gsr in can be done for 2.5K give or take all in.

A GSR engine swap will be a huge step up from stock output, around +60hp and +25tq. However, for around the same price or less, you can build your engine or another D-series for turbo and hit 200+hp pretty easily. That's the route I'm personally planning on going with my 1999 Civic DX Hatchback.

What would truly satisfy you, would making it an EK clone really make you happy?
I hope you don't understand that the money you put into it, won't help sale it for high $$$ because it may become an "EK Clone"

I really have no plans on selling it down the road. The look of the Type R's is really growing on me, but I know I'll never recoup the money I put into it. I mainly wrench for the sake of wrenching. I bought it with the facelift bumper and that look doesn't really do much for me. I just don't want to put the work into the body and suspension without giving it some more grunt.

Do you have any specific technical questions for this technical forum? Opinion polls don't turn out well here.

Pics? Threads like these usually end up with the OP not doing anything.

I've been researching the wiring as far as a B16C conversion would go and found this post: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...6c+wiring+swap.

For ease of the conversion, I've heard of people just buying the tuck harnesses instead of trying to convert the harnesses from RHD to LHD. I've tried searching and couldn't really find much as far as recommended brands. Has anyone had experience with specific harness conversions?
