WEIRD idle issue on my Civic
Ok so a year and have ago my car would almost stall when I came to a stop so I replaced the IACV - now im having another issue with idle ..
The car with always idle high now at about 1100 rpm's - then it will idle normal then back up .. here is the kicker ...
When I put the car in either park or neutral , it will idle at like 2,000 rpms ... until i put it in drive then it comes down ... If i let it sit idleing at 2,000 for a bit it will then just suddenly come back down ... any idea's

If your having idle issues of it fluctuating up and down bleed your coolant most likely you have air in the coolant system...but any automatic transmission will idle higher in park or neutral beacuse there is no load on the engine. But when you shift into drive or reverse it will go down in rpm because the transmission is placing a load on the engine therefor causing the engine speed to lower.
Well it depends, if you live up north and it gets cold it will definitely cause it to idle high ...idk if you do. But if your having problems with a high idle after the car is already to normal operating temperature then adjust the idle screw on the intake. You could be allowing too much air past the tb plate at idle.
