Passenger Power Window Goes Down, Not Up
Hi, I've got a 2001 Civic Ex Coupe. I bought the car knowing the passenger window didn't go up, but I want to fix it. I hooked the wires up to the battery and the window went right up that way, but not when I simply pull up on the switch without direct battery assistance. Incidentally, the driver's side (master) switch does nothing for the passenger window for either direction, but the master switch does work perfectly for the driver's side window.
After some research, I definitely don't believe it's a bad motor or regulator, but rather the switch itself or bad wiring/ground. So
1) Does anyone know how to test the switch with a test light, including any wiring diagrams, etc? And
2) I've removed panel from the door and the switch from the panel and would like to open up the switch to inspect/clean it, but I can't figure out how to open it up. Any ideas?
Thanks so much!
