Fender Flares
This does not mean that you can't like it. It doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. You can find fender flares to fit your car on eBay. It will take a lot of body work. They don't just pop on. You will have to either rivet, screw, or tape it on. The last one being the ricer way to do it. Then you should definitely cut out the fender if you are actually putting wheels in there that will take up that space, which would make it a 'performance' upgrade. Then you have bondo, sanding, primer and painting to redo.
More than likely you will get the tape ones and it will be ricey. It's just like a hood scoop. Sure you can cut a hole in the hood and tape it on, but it's really not doing much.
If you need the wheel space, look for a front end kit. It will give you more space for wheels. If you are doing it for the hella flush or camber look, that's ricey too in my opinion.
Fact, it is ricey. It's not performance oriented and it isn't OEM.

Secondly I wasnt the one who started this thread. I was giving my opinion and telling him to do what he wants. If you are going to auto-x/drag/road race this modification will benefit you in all ways without having to buy a one piece track style front end and lose the whole functionality of having a street car.
I really dont understand why everyone has so much hate. Im not into that hella flush stuff. I auto-x my evo and my crx si is bone stock besides new brakes and bushings all the way around. This winter is when Im going to start building the crx for auto-x/road race.
But I do appreciate your .02cents thanks again...
J's racing makes them for the crx. And no I would rivet them on and cut the fenders. Who cares if its not OEM? And you are contradicting yourself! In your opening statement you say its not oem and not performance oriented. Then you come back in your second paragraph and explain how it can be performance oriented.

I'm usually pretty angry and upset when it comes to ricey things. I get nagged a lot about my car being ricey. And I just end up passing it on.

Yep, definitely did contradict myself. Those flares are ricey though. Hardly anyone actually uses them to fit larger wheels properly.

Yeah. I don't really like big wheels on the Honda though. I like the muscle car look a lot more and the big rear wheels on a FWD car is useless. However, I have seen a lot of people use generic fender flares with success. That and rolling the fenders for clearance.
