94, honda accord lx (D) blinking...
well i have a stock 94 honda accord lx 4 door. I was hit in the front few months ago i fixed all the problems was no frame dmg. After a few weeks of driving it it started to act up.... It will start right up in the morning but once i drive it to work. then i try to goto lunch when i hop in the car the car won't start the (D) blinks fast. Im still working on trying to understand the code on it.... anyhoo i put the key in the shift lock it would work for awhile. After a few times of doing that it stopped to work.. so now i have to unplug the battery for a few mins to get it to start. it don't do it all the time its random as hell when i try to get it to put out the codes it never does then i would run it to the store say 25% of the time it won't start and start to blink. If anyone can help that would be great. thank you for taking the time to read this
try cleaning out the solenoids with engine degreaser, reinstall. disconnect the battery and reconnect it after a few minutes or u can pull the back up fuse and reset the computer. then recheck for a new code if it blinks again.
yea iv cleaned the solenoids.. iv replaced the shifting cable. the trans is fine as far as i know bc it runs smooth just once it warms up sometimes it wont start, unless i pull the battery. i've google it a few times they always telling me its the trans.. i don't want to swap the trans to fine out it was fine.
Thank you for your reply's

It doesn't start as the starter does not spin or the engine will not start?
If it is not starting and the D4 lights up it may be the console switch(newutral safety switch) is not properly lined up or needs to be readjusted.
When the car has failed to start have you tried turning the car to II(on) and then shifting from P to D1 and back up to P? This can sometimes smack the switch back into position for a moment to get the car started.
To read codes on a 94-97 look under/behind the center of the glove box door. There will be a two wire blue connector. Jump it with a wire and turn the key to ON the actual code will then blink. Obviously CEL light is for engine, D4 light is for trans, ABS is for ABS, etc.

When you turn the key to II(on), but not III(start), can you hear the fuel pump prime for a few seconds? It is a very quiet pump so make sure your fan and radio are off.
If you do not hear the fuel pump it may be that the main relay is going bad, fairly common problem. Come out to the car when its cold, works fine, car sits in the sun for a few hours(warming up the interior) and the engine will not start. The relay is located in the dash.

yea when its cold it will start like a champ, but at work mid day going to lunch it wont start sometimes it will act up but a lot of times it will then I drive to the store it wont start when i leave the store unless i unplug the battery for a few mins.. thank for the reply's
but only problem with that... is that it only acts up in warm its cold around me now so when i hop in the honda it starts right up. but i put a new system into it when i turn the key on and off a few times it acts up also.
If you wiggle the key while the car is on/engine running, do the gauges or lights on the dash flicker or go off? May also be the ignition switch. But it is hard to diagnose over the internet. The TechAuto website also has a page on the ignition switch and troubleshooting it.
i just put a new switch in a few months ago less then i year. i just hopped in it it ran fine i wiggle the key also nothing its a good switch.. i think its the main relay like u said.
