What? swapping subframes? that's a new one to me. I've heard that swapping the ITR or LS steering rack gives you a quicker steering ratio. For EK on the other hand I've heard the 00-01 Si rack will do the trick. Not sure if the Teg one will fit onto the EK tho.

I don't think the 99-00Si rack is any faster than the DX Powersteering one I have now.

Can anybody confirm that the EG-DC front subframe will fit on the EK or not???

Thanks

Again, are you sure it's not possible?

Then is there another way around this? maybe with some CTR parts??

Subframe from the 2 cars, EK & DC are totally different. It will NOT work.

Anything off the CTR will absolutely not work either, Right Hand Drive. I found out the hard way.

However, Mr. Shin did mention you can use a 99-00 Civic Si steering rack. It does have a better ratio (just slightly).

do you have steering ratio numbers to compare to: EK manual EK power steering, 99-00 Si powersteering, GSR, Type-r.

Is the 99-00 Si close to the ITR???

I owned a new 00 Si, the slow steering was one of the biggest drawbacks to this "sporty" car. I would pass on hoping a 99-00 Si rack will be the solution.

Prior to that: 91 SE-R, 86 GTI -both much had much better steering ratios

20 years later, better late than never haha
