Default 96 dx coupe toy

So i started this off a little different then most people would normally. I didnt wanna drop alot of money into a motor making it high hp when im not gonna race the car, since this is my daily high mpg vehicle i wanted to go a different route.

Started off with a new deck from alpine.

then added a eq from clarion with higher volt output to provide the rest of the system with some added juice and clarity.

I started gathering the rest of my audio setup getting ready to install.

But then of course i needed to add plenty of mat to make this thing nice and quite inside.

I started stripping the inside prepping for the install.

Then it came time to install and boy was it a painful lengthy process.

It was then time for a cold beer

Then back to work

I needed something to cover up the amp rack and support the weight of the subs so did this.

Put the subs in to test fit them and make sure they were gonna sit ok in the truck and not bounce around and clear the rear deck.

Then started ordering some other goodies to put on

i am not really interested in swapping out the front end really. The sound mat doesn't weight all that much. Out of the 90 sqr feet i used that was about 40 sqr feet of dynamat extreme and 50 sqr feet of rattle trap xtreme it might have added 50-60 lbs.

If i did swap out the front end to a 99-00 i would need to repaint and blablabla. My next project once i buy my house will be picking up a ek hatch. Thats what i really wanted but when i was searching there werent any in my area that were reasonably priced so i grabbed this coupe. I love it i really do but man i want another hatch.

I was interested in this because it wasnt a hatch.

I'll check this out for now, until you switch to a hatch. lol.

Lol I love the coupe for sure. This is my first civic coupe as I've always owned 4 delsol's, 2 crx's, 1 ef hatch, 3 teg's and a dc teg gsr one 89 supra and I think thats about it. But I would like to have a 96+ hatch for go along with my coupe. Wife wants a prelude and I also kinda want a c0rv lol.

I think im going to end up doing the car in a satin/flat black. I like the color of the flat gtr's and I've always like flat colors. It'll probably be oast thing I do as there are still several small things I need to fix.
