I have a 99 accord with an f20b. I switched out the intake manifold recently with one from an h22, I used my f20b throttle body. Everything fits well, no problems except for the fact that my throttle body cable is too long by maybe 2-3 inches. I measured the intake manifolds, they are both the same size. Anyone know why this could be happening?

 

Have you already maxed out the throttle cable adjustment?
Also compare the diameter of the throttle arms. <-Scratch that, you said you kept the original throttle body.

 

Yes, on the throttle cable adjustments, even with the screws as far as possible, there is still about 2-3 inches of the cable that seems to be extra. Any ideas?

 

Are you sure the cable hasn't been stretched at all?
