Default code 4 problems.

I hate to have a post about such a simple problem but I have been trying to figure out the problem for about a week.

I have a 91 si hatchback that i just swapped in a jdm d15b vtec being ran by a p28 for now its mostly stock. It does have ARP head bolts and rod bolts, ported and polished head, and blackworks racing valve springs and retainers. I plan on boosting it.

Whats happening is the car starts and runs fine (no CEL) but after a few miles (when it gets to operating temp it sputters and goes into limp mode and throws code 4. if i reset it, it does it again almost right away! However, if the sets and cools back down it wont throw the code for a while, but as soon as i drive it to get to operating temp it does it again.

and here is a pic just so you can see it.

sorry shes so dirty in the pic :/

What distributor are you using? How did you wire it up or did you use an adapter?

to my knowledge I am using the distributor that belongs on the motor. I matched all the colors to wire it with the exception of the second white wire that went to the yellow with the green tracer.
