Picking up my first honda tonight. 1991 Civic Hatch! Need tips.
Picking it up tonight, thankfully it is 100% stock and female driven.
I know the basics of what to look for in a car but nothing specific to this chassis. If anyone can shed some light on the common things to look would be highly appreciated.

I assume you drove it. mostly if you hear lots of sounds or if it shakes and shimmy's.
most of the sounds might be something that can be replaced or repaired.
look under it for anything out of place. wheel curbage is also a sign.

Other than looking for the normal things that you should look for in every used car (rust, check lines in bodywork for past accidents, odometer numbers not aligned correctly, VIN number filed down, etc), there isn't a whole lot to look for with this chassis.
Take it for a test drive, make sure it runs, steering doesn't pull, stops well, and engine comes up to temp and not over. Other than that, it's a 24 year old chassis. It will more than likely need TLC.

Anyways, it's just like any other used car. It's not an 80s jeep that has electrical problems. It's just a honda. Match the vins. Might have a jimmy rigged motor in there. Look for splicing.
