Are you looking more for comfort or a big drop?

NONE ! I tried that on my beater civic....hated every second of it lol if you want a good budget set up grab some KYB AGX's and skunk2 springs pretty firm but nothing crazy low. will run you about 500$ all in but if I were you i'd save up some F&F type 1 will get you slammed on the ground and are like 700$

Nope....lowering on stock shocks will only last so long until the shocks blow. They aren't designed to have the shock travel shortened. There are aftermarket shocks that are designed for that.

If 1pc coilovers or koni/GC is too expensive, come up with a realistic budget of what you could spend and/or save up. But if you really want to cheap out, and just buy lowering springs for around $150-$250 for your stock shocks, then find a new hobby.

With a little saving, I would recommend kyb agx shocks with h&r sport or race springs depending on how low you want to go or how much more comfortable you want the ride to be.

Look up different brands spring rates and how much they lower the car and decide what would be best for you.

I cannot express enough how happy I am with my Progress coilover setup. $550 plus shipping, and you can pick your own spring rates.
