apex vtec controler help

Icon2 apex vtec controler help

hey guys I have a ls/vtec with a dc header cold air intake stage 2 blox cams and a bigger intake. im having a problem after i installed my cams my car began to flood from 5-6 rpms and as soon as it hits 6 when vtec kicks in it starts to clear up i have a mechanic that usally does all the tunning but he cant get to my car quick enough can anyone help me figur out how to fix this problem i also have a wideband axygen sensor with gauge so i can see my fuel ratings

... pull fuel to keep AFR @12.5-13:1. Am I missing something?

Although you should be running LEAN with bigger cams, not rich.

my afr is jumping to the 17s im not sure how to turn it down with the controller i had a guy that done all my tunning and now im lost on how to use the vtec controller is there a way that i can just adjust that rpm range ?

I would recommend getting a chipped ECU. Get rid of that crap and just program the chip properly.

What kind do u recommended ?? I wish I understood more on the tunning there's none around here that goes that deep into building

Tuning, not tunning.

What ecu are you running? What is your wideband setup? we need more info. Also, as F22Master said, ditching the VAFC and going with something more modern should most likely be your next step. Those things have been irrelevant for at least ten years.

To use a Hondata system, you will need to use a compatible OBD1 ecu from the list at http://www.hondata.com/ecus.html. You can then use the Hondata s100 or s300 depending on what options you want (http://www.hondata.com/sproducts.html). I would recommend the s300.
