Will a JDM ITR Tranny fit my USDM GS-R?
Ive got a 2000 Integra GS-R and my tranny went to ****. I was thinking of doing an upgrade with the JDM ITR Tranny. Will it fit with my GS-R? Will I have to buy ITR axles and what not also?

The itr trans has shorter 5th gear than a gsr
And 4.4 or 4.7 final drive
So you'll be at 3500 rpms doing 60-65mph
Depending on size of wheels/tires

I have to disagree. The RPM vs MPH difference is quite noticable on the freeway. Also accelleration increase is noticable.
But for the cost, if you just need a new tranny, the GSR is going to be much cheaper. I see them for $500-$800 around SF bay area.

If you do want the ITR trans for the better synchros and stronger diff that it has, either look for it in the classifieds or try www.jdmenginescorp.com. I got a few few engines/transes/5 lug setups from there. Stuff is always clean and they have awesome pricing. I got my 4.78FD ITR trans there for my ITR.

The 4.78FD ITR trans has shorter 2,3 gears. 1st, 4th, and 5th are the same as a GSR.
60mph RPMs with the 4.4 ITR or hydro B16 trans is at about 3200RPM with stock tires. 3300RPM with the 4.78FD

The GSR trans sucks. The B16 or ITR trans is the best bang for your buck mod on a GSR. Within 1 week of owning my DB8, I had an EM1 trans in it.
