99 gsr underdash harness swap into a 96 RS need advice..
Car is a 96 integra RS.. i want to convert the RS into power locks and maybe later down the road swap in a obd2 B18c1 in it can i use a 99 GSR under dash harness into the 96 so i can have the power locks.. or its not going to work because of the fuse box using small fuses rather that regular sized fuses, different plugs etc,etc.. thanks for the help and i did search for it but no definite answer thanks..
Pretty sure the smaller fuses are on OBD2b, which I think is 00-01.
Long as you're still in OBD2a, you'll be fine with everything plugging in and working.
Might be a lot easier just swapping to power doors also,
would be a pain to change out the door harness if it has to be done.

You would definatly have to change the door harnesses and the lock cylinders as the RS doolock cylinders do not have the switchs for central locking, it is a lot easier to just add aftermarket door lock actuators, you can still use the stock inside power door lock switch(s) from any G3 with power door locks. 94
Thanks for the reply guys. There was someone parting out an integra by my place and I got both door harness, relay, switches, and lock actuators. Now I need the color of the wires that go in the fusebox to get power for the power locks.. then extend the wires to the passenger side.. is there a pin out for the door harness that goes to the ecu?
Door harness do not connect to the ECU/ECM.
Also you do not need to change the lock cylinder itself you just need the cylinder switch, hopefully you got them with the door harnesses.
The power lead is white/green, [on 20A fuse].
There are six(6) leads that connect the control unit, [in drivers door] to the pass. door...
Light blue, [lock] pass door key cylinder switch.
Light green, [unlock] pass door key cylinder switch.
Black/white, [lock] pass door switch.
Black/red, [unlock] pass door switch.
White/red, [lock] pass door actuator.
Yellow/red, [unlock] pass. door actuator.
Those lead will all be in the 99 dash harness. 94

Did you get the Power Door Lock Control Unit, or is that the "relay"?
What I have done, [even when just installing aftermarket actuators] is to hit up the local PicknPull and get just the door harness and dash harness pillar plugs, or even just de-pin the leads I need with a few inches of lead so I can re-pin them into the car I am working on.
In your case you would only need the ones for the dash harness side of the A pillar plug, then extend the lead long enough to reach the other door and the fuse box.
I will also get the pin for the plug on the fuse box that is for door lock power, install the door lock fuse, [fuse 6 - 20A], t will make the wiring install clean and easy. 94

this is what I need to know where exactly that wire plugs in cause I want to do it as original as possible

I looked on ALLDATA and could not find a pinout, but what I do with a lot of cars is plug in the fuse I want to use and probe any unused pin holes in plugs with a 12V test light when the test light lights up, I unpug the fuse if the light goes out you have found the right plug and pin hole. 94
thanks for the reply fcm, we found the oem spot for the wire took the fusebox off and tested it with the multimeter for continuation its on one of the green plugs in the back of the fusebox.. me and a buddy did the driver side door and we had an extra plug, i guess its for the key cylinder actuator have to get it from the guy i bought the other parts from so itll be all oem stuff just need to run the wires from the driver side to the passenger side and its all done and one trip to the junkyard for some wiring...
been wanting to update this thread for future references but havent had the time till tonite.. well the integra RS underdash harness is PRE-WIRED for power door locks for the passenger side.. all you need to do is get the passenger door harness plug it in on the cabin harness and your done on that side, then get the DRIVER door harness, add 7 wires to the cabin harness 1 power 6 other wires and you have power door locks on your INTEGRA RS
