99 Accord Clutch went - HELP
1999 Accord EX Manual
My brothers driving home from work and he hears "pop" when he pushes the clutch pedal in. No more clutch.
Master and slave seem to be ok. With the car off and clutch in the car can go into gear. Once the car was started the car moved, quickly turned off the car. Sounds like the clutch right? Only problem now is we cant get the car out of reverse to be able to push it into my garage to work on. Pretty sure I can just push it back and forth to get pressure off the clutch.
He bought a clutch kit and we're going to install a new clutch. This will be my seconds install (1st was yrs ago on my 95GSR). Anyone have a nice DIY to refresh my memory?
Thanks guys.
Also, any tips/reminders are always welcomed.

Not sure what you want people to say. It's obvious the clutch is toast. You can just do some searches to find some howto's. It's pretty straight forward.
When you pull the tranny you can see exactly what went wrong. You can remove the flywheel cover to just take a peak at what's going on before you pull the tranny.

Sounds like the clutch isn't engaging which wouldn't have anything to do with the disc itself. Inspect the clutch fork. You can also try replacing both cylinders because that's a heck of a lot easier and faster, not to mention cheaper. Clutches are constantly engaged if not depressed by the master-slave-fork-bearing-pressure plate, hence the reason you can not push it into gear while the car is on because the input and output can not equalize. If the clutch was shot it would be able to go into any gear and NOT move the car at all (i.e. the clutch would be free spinning with no grabbing).
Since he said master and slave seem ok I was guesstimating that the slave has the proper travel. Since he says the car moves it seems like the clutch itself has broken and won't disengage.
