Hey everyone,
Bought a 92 civic with a D15B7 last week. Driving home last night the gauge lights flickered once and died. The 10amp fuse is fine, even swapped it with another just in case. Looks like the license plate lights are in the same circuit and they still work just fine so I'm confused.

Any ideas?

dimmer switch? or like my EK, theres a "fuse" on the back of the cluster that is built into the circuit board.
Do your climate controls work?

Came back on tonight for about 2 minutes and shut back off. Adjusting the dimmer switch doesn't make them flicker back on, its completely random no matter what I bang on

I would check the fuse on the circuit board but i think if it was blown, they wouldn't have come back on.

Climate controls still work fine except for the hot/cold slider doesn't do anything. Had the same problem in a first gen Integra i owned in high school, ended up being the rod between the two broke.

 

Dont wanna leave this thread open, Ended up being the dimmer switch. Bypassed the dimming part of the switch by bridging two wires (forget which two).
Works great now

 

I am having the exact same issue. Can you take a pic of what you did for me? It's be really helpful.

 

Short the Red wire to the Black wire in the unplugged dimmer switch connector. Have you already checked whether the fuse is blown?

 

Yea its red and black. I took a small paperclip and made a "U" and shorted them from the back of the plug, that was I could leave it plugged into the dimmer switch and not floppin around. Either way, like Ron said, make sure you check your fuse first.
From what I read, seems like these switches fail often.

I just googled this, but pretty much what I did.
