Default quick buck while cruising

hello everyone, well as the title says my 00 gsr is giving me a slight bit of confusion. While im driving in either 4th/5th usually notice it more in 5th while cruising home if I hold the throttle steady at any one point between 2.5-3k rpm going around 50-60 mph. I will get a sudden and subtle buck, almost like I lose power for an instant and then it will pick back up. prolly happens every 2 seconds but it only happens while keeping the rpms steady. Doesn't matter where but it only happens between 2.5-3k and I've only noticed it in 4th and 5th, mostly because those are the gears I cruise in the most. I had never had a problem with the distributor but i also had not changed it sense i got the car 4 years ago so i changed the cap an rotor to see if it would help and it didn't. if anyone has an experience with this or has a suggestion of where to check for the problem any help would be great thanks.

In for info...
I notice the same exact thing in all gears 2500-3000RPM. It's almost like a single misfire, or just slight hesitation. I have a new distributor, and that did not change anything.

Sometimes my IACV acts up and holds the idle high and I think it could have something to do with that. Do you ever have a random high idle?

also could be the throttle body sticking. clean it out, as well the the IACV and adjust your throttle cable.

Make sure the TPS is adjusted right at the correct voltage

no high idle other than when I first start it up cold then it hovers around 1.5-1.8k then will idle down to 600 once warm.
ill give the throttle body/iacv a good cleaning throttle cable has been adjusted. and ill check the tps if none of these do it then ill definitely be checking the icm. thanks for the help

you also might want to follow Honda's procedure in setting the idle.
