MIR WCF coverage inquiry
Sorry there is no actual tech on this thread but this is a general question in an attempt to better serve those who can not attend the event and others. Not selling anything. Delete if post is not acceptable.
There isn't as much video coverage for these events as there is photography coverage since proper video production can be quite a task. I know some people all around the world rely on peoples videos to live the experience of being there. How many of you guys would be interested in seeing a documentary/short film style video of this years WCF with a cinematic look and feel. Not just a basic camera pointing at cars making passes all day long. What kinds of things would you guys like to see that are usually left out. What would make YOU feel as if you were there? Let me know!
Again, the main goal is not to push a brand or company. This was inspired when a viewer emailed me saying "thank you for taking the time, you made me feel like I was there both days of the event while still sitting here on my chair in the U.K"

Id like it! IMO I think the "PIT" life is a HUGE part of this event....yes the money is won and lost on the track BUT getting your car there is half the battle. Some of these bigger name companies bring big rigs, half their shops, extra motors, trans the whole nine yards. The work they put in the pits some times is just as much if not more than in the driver seat!

Thanks for the feedback!
what he said about the pits/pit life. Also, it's not always about the huge companys either the small guys spend countless nights getting ready and scrounging any part they can for backup just in case. interview people or even just a quick racer bio.

I like the behind the scenes parts of videos. Where you get to see a crew working their *** of trying to get a new head on the car, or another tranny in the car before the next round. I like to see interviews of the crews and drivers. Yes the actual racing is cool. But ive helped out on a couple different teams and have been there to experience how much work goes into getting a fast car down the track.
Thanks for the feedback guys! We will definitely be there and give this idea our best shot. If anyone will be racing at the event and wouldn't mind getting interviewed or sharing their opinions please let me know!
Some great ideas here.
I live & race in the UK, I also paid for a WCF 2012 DVD which I never received.
As I can't be there I would love to see some coverage, although I will try & make the journey over there in person in the near future

I had been following a non sponsored racer that was going to make it to WCF but he had too many problems and can't make it. Unfortunately I didn't find another person to follow in time. Great idea nevertheless!
I'd buy a few copies as well. The videos are great references for smack talking when all my family comes around for the Holidays hahaha,
I like the idea and agree that the journey to a race is what a lot of fans don't see or get. The amount of hours spent getting these cars ready is more then I like to admit!

Great idea.
Only thing I would recommend is to have someone recording every single race. Never know when the big wow factor might happen.(You probably have already thought about this but I'd figured to say it.)

Thanks for the feedback! Script is already being written.
Unfortunately we are only a two man crew with a ton of gear. (14ft jib crane and possibly an aerial drone etc etc) Doing actual films/documentaries requires a lot of scene shooting so that in itself wouldn't allow me to get every race. I've been to these events for years and I have a decent idea who the record setters or breakers are and ill try to be there for the wow factor. Great idea though! Maybe ill get a third body to help us with that.

I'll be looking forward to owning a copy.
See everyone at the event. If you see a guy walking around with a camera rig and the guys operating the big boom crane. Stop by and stay hello! Be safe everyone and good luck!
