Default 1993 Acura Integra DA9 clutch? Or tranny problem?

Hello!
I drove my DA9 like 10 feet from my driveway and I shifted from 1st to 2nd and I let the clutch drop hard on accident and then I heard a pop and I had no clutch. Car still turns over and runs. Won't move though. Checked the clutch cable, still moves when you push the clutch in and out. When I push it all the way in it makes a clicking noise constantly. If I have the clutch out I can still pop it into any gear but car won't move. It's really weird. Also when I put it in gear without pushing the clutch in, speedo starts to climb speed up to like 20mph.

I'm not trying to guess, but maybe a bad throwout bearing? Or it's stuck? I'm not really sure... Any ideas?

Even when i rev it in neutral the speedometer just starts to climb. I really feel this is a tranny problem.... i can shift into different gears without even pushing the clutch in. I can feel the gears slowing down when i try to push it into any gear, including reverse. i still can get the car to drive. I tried checking the clutch cable again to be sure and it was lose but i tightened it up and still nothing. hmmmm...

sounds like you blow out the clutch hub in the clutch disc.

or you snapped a shaft inside the tranny.

also check both drive shafts make sure that are completely intact also sounds like the car can be in gear and sit there with the e-brake on and it will speed up on the cluster. in that case the there must be something wrong with one of output shafts

I will check over the axles later tonight. Even in neutral, the speedo on the cluster just moves around but doesn't really go any higher than 10 or 20 mph.

there is a feature at work here called fluid dynamics and Drag if there is nothing to stop the wheel from spinning the oil can be all you need to spin the wheels. now with that understanding the speed sensor reads off the differential in the tranny the only thing from there to the wheels is the CV axles. my guess is ether your CV popped out of the tranny the bearings in the outer cup fell out.

My passenger side axle popped out like a few inches. Easy fox. Just took a long pry bar and popped it back in. Thanks!
