Default turbo boost question?

I have a gsr motor with p73 pistons and rods. im throwing a turbo on it t3/t4. what im really wanting to know is when my boost will begin to build. what rpm maybe? will it be safe to drive it to a tuner?

need more info on turbo size.. just scale your injectors correctly and dont drive (boost) like an idiot and u should be ok

Disconnect your charge pipe and you can drive it anywhere.

I did this on my oem itr motor that I boosted to drive to my tunner 100 miles away it did fine!!

Its better to pull the wg spring so the maximum amount of exhaust bypasses the turbo so it will not generate boost. If you pull the charge pipe the turbo can overspin trying to generate boost (that is blowing out the disconnected pipe) if you were on the throttle hard.

Unless you have a tiny turbo you can simply stay light on the throttle and no boost will be generated.
