I've searched and searched about this. I am completely removing power steering from my del sol. I have pulled the hard line and hose out from the rack, unbolted the 4 bolts that hold it in and removed the outer tie rods. I've tried everything for the last two hours to get the thing to come out and I can't get it. I've pulled it all the way to the passenger side and almost have enough room to drop it but still no dice. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!!

 

You have to remove the exhaust pipe from the manifold to the cat, and I think the shift rod also. The rack then drops out.

 

Yeah I did all that. I finally got it. It was just a biiiiiotch to get out. First time I had to consult several manuals. Ha
