Default Help??

I have a 1989 Civic Hatch Si. And im wanting to slam it.
I was running kyb gas struts with ebay springs and it rode pretty good for what it was. I bought a set of 1991 Sedan Struts and springs. The springs were cut alot! dude said it was dumped. I wanted to see how my car looked low. and it looks great.

So my question is, what would i buy to make it that low with aftermarket stuff.
I heard about short struts, extended tophats and stuff like that. What would do the trick??
And i am on a budget and ride quality doesnt matter to much.

And here is 2 pictures of my car with the back lowered on the 91' struts and cut springs. So what could i use to get this low??

Measure the compressed springs height. Take that to a metal shop and tell them you want a piece of pipe that long. Shove the piece of pipe in there instead of your suspension set up. Weld the upper and lower control arms in place. That way you can keep that exact ride height and never have to worry about your shocks going bad.

I don't like it when civics get 'dumped' just for the look. It's just as ricey as a body kit but it doesn't get the same flack here on HondaTech. I don't know why you want to lower it that much and not worry about ride quality. It looks like you live on a dirt road and I'd want some good shocks for that sort of driving. And I wouldn't want to ding up my oil pan, pulley, exhaust, ect.

You have already accomplished what you set out to do.
What you have on there now satisfies all your requirements.

What is to be accomplished here other than spending more money or garbage parts?
There isn't a shortened shock out there that will give you a nice comfortable ride.
Freemananana has the correct solution - just put some fixed length pipe in there.

How is it not the same as a body kit? It's purely looks.

Bouncy means there is spring. When you get as low as you want to be there is no play. That's why I suggested fixed length pipe. It's going to be like riding a skateboard through the rocks at 50 miles an hour.

You can't open the thread with lines such as "ride doesn't matter" and expect serious answers. If you want low, get coilovers that give a 3'' drop. If you can't afford that, take some rubber and put it inbetween the springs on your set up now and use them as ghetto bump stops.

Or you can get low profile tires for the stock 13s.

Koni yellows and Ground Control sleeves (the ones made for Koni's).
Get the extended top hats as you will need them.

That's as cheap as I could go.
Other options will net you the same crappy ride that you have right now. Save your money and don't bother with inferior ebay and garbage no-name parts.

buy some raceland coilovers. 350 bux or so shipped to your house. full bodies will allow for a lot more ride height adjustability. however it still wont solve the issue of the front upper control arm slamming into the shock towers
