My little brothers car was rear ended. There is about 3800 in damages. The other guy has farmers insurance, they send out the own agent to asses the damage. Will they take into consideration the upgraded motor, trans, rear brakes, seats and other things? Thank you

 

No they will not. If they total the car, buy it back from the insurance company. That way you get your parts back and can sell whatever else you don't need.

 

Payed 3gs for it, kbb is 950... 400-500 to buy it back and I'm screwed.

 

why not just keep it and not claim it threw insurance ?. i'm not sure where you live but I live in Toronto Ontario and rear ended someone recently....the front of my car got smashed up however i'm not claiming it on my insurance i'm just re-building it this winter. yah kbb for my car is something like 1-2K afaik I paid 3.8K not counting all the money I've put in my self.
