i paid $1200 and got full gsr sus(upgrades) and brakes, complete gsr interior, two week old gsr greddy kit with the biggy big intercooler-with blow off-with turbo timer-with three gauges-and with profecb. so if i were to just buy the turbo kit and turbo goodies, i would have only paid $800 to my friend who wrecked his gsr. i guess i accomplished a 1000 set up in a way?
450.00 BOOM haha got me form 16.57 to 14.800 with slipping clutch.
*cx manifold
*mazda 626 IHI turbo
*custom downpipe
*wastegate set @ 8psi
*12:1 FMU
*inline fuel pump
*boost/airfuel gauge
*conquest FMIC
*saab BOV
*custom charge pipes for know
*air filter came from the Honda Bike dealer
ONLY 2.25 exhaust so i think that will help when i get 2.5
PICS

My whole setup was listed recently on here, just do a search with my name and you should pull it up.
Was titled something like "junkyard turbo kit on my R"

I'm not done yet, but here's what I've got so far
Turbo - $230
Manifold - $200
FMU with 8:1 and 12:1 disks - $80
Inline Fuel Pump - $50
Gauge Pillar Pod - $50
Boost, A/F and Oil Pressure Gauges - $105
1g DSM BOV - $35
Deltagate Wastegate - $75
Starion IC with custom endtanks - $100
Flanges for Closed Loop Downpipe - $14
$939 so far
All I've got left are the oil lines, missing link, and piping... well, tuning too
***UPDATE*** - It's now the end of December, and I'm putting the Turbo on in exactly 1 week. The price has jumped to around $1600
(because I decided to get a manifold and downpipe, amoung otherthings), but at least I've got a much more kick *** setup

here's what i got so far as a budget set-up:
SMC- 100
manifold- 300
dsm injectors- 50
turbo- 150
oil lines- 100
smic- 50
downpipe- 150
bov- 50
so far that's $950
last thing needed is the piping but i don't know how much that will run. when going for a budget set-up, just like they said, look for DSM, Saab, Volvo, and Ford Thunderbirds. some of may be able to be found cheaper but this is what i got so far.

the best part about this setup is you dont gotta shell out all the money over once...i like that
if you are on a really tight budget you shouldnt go turbo; something is bound to go wrong.
