Need suggestions for my '90 ACCORD LX
Car got stolen, when I got it back.
I decided to set up a toggle switch. Then the car wouldn't start like it should after couple of DAYS. So around the 5th or 6th day, I decided to removed the toggle switch and put everything back to normal using twist connects.
I'm assuming the wire doesn't wanna grab a connection a lot of times when the car constantly die when I come to a complete stop after driving for a while or the car will die/shut off while I'm driving.
Now.. I decided to go with splice connects when I'm constantly redoing this wire. I should of never touched this area from the beginning when I feared the car would get stolen again.
If I'm lucky? The car won't die driving to any destination. I know this wire is gonna keep getting shorter and shorter.
Should I run a new wire from the ignition to the starter or would my problem be solved by replacing the entirely wire harness??

it's best to get butt connectors that are heat shrink...however I'm thinking your issue is that you're just not doing it correctly
you should be cutting back about a 1/4 inch or so of wire and using the correct tool to crimp down...looking at that yellow connector it doesn't look like it's crimped enough to begin with

It also may just be a coincidence and an ignition component such as the igniter is dying.

Problem with a stolen car is you never know what the ***** may have done with your car.

That may have simply been from a loose connection, faulty toggle, or underrated toggle.
It appears you only spliced/tapped into the starter solenoid, this would not cause the engine to die. There is something else wrong with the car. Give the car a once over, if the ignition tumbler was punched out there may have been damage done to the ignition switch causing an intermittent connection. Check that first for wear/conductivity.

I've bought a lot parts for my em2 when I had that car and recently for my e46 323i 5sp sedan when I haven't had any problems with any parts from that website.
