Strut bars - upper/lower? Which one to get?
I did a search, and I am a newbie....
sorry, have no idea what the difference between upper and lower Strut bar is.
I have a '92 civic 4 door. was looking at a mugen strut bar, $48. good deal?

upper is called a strut bar (for strut mounts) and lower is anti-roll bar or sway bar...the horizontal tension can be adjusted

wow $48 for a mugen????
most likey its not real
yeah he definately saw that on Ebay. its a Mugen "style" as the rip offs try to refer to it as "cheap ****", but since your new its all right man. be sure to buy both the upper and lower for better suspension stabilization. if you have to get only 1 get the upper first.
first off, don't buy something because it's mugen(or any so called jdm brand) style anything...save yourself the time and money...and get something that will work for your car...and not because its a 'style' of another.
since you'ved got a sedan(4door) best suspension setup to get are:
front upper strut bar(neuspeed, sprint, cusco, jic, mugen)choose one
front lower tie bar(cusco, jic, neuspeed)choose one
if your sedan is not an ex model get a front sway bar off a gsr or ex/si civic
if your sedan is an ex model you dont have to worry you already have a front sway bar
rear upper strut bar(neuspeed, cusco, jic, mugen)choose one
as for the lower you dont have to get a rear sway bar and lower tie bar...just get one or the other
if your 4door is an ex model you already have a rear sway bar...which means you dont need anything else...
rear sway bar(stock gsr or suspension techniques)
rear lower tie bar(jic)
this is just my opinion on things...feel free to use this as a guide...good luck
