Default 1998 Civic over heating?

Ok so..

I was sitting in my car waiting for a friend when i noticed my temp gauge was very high.. I turned it off as soon as i noticed it, parked it..

I noticed the radiator reservoir was almost empty..

I filled it back up...

I let it sit and it for a while then I drove it about an hour later..

Everything seemed fine, until i noticed the temperature gauge started to move high when i was at a red light...

I pulled over for 15 minutes, checked the coolant-- the tank was still full...

I decided to drive the same way back home, but the temperature gauge did not rise on the way back home..

I have work tommorow morning..

Does anybody have any ideas as to whats going on now all of a sudden??

Please

Has this issue been resolved yet? If not you may want to do a flush of your cooling system, use fresh coolant when refilling, and check everything in the cooling system. Making sure your radiator cap isn't bad, t-stat still opens properly, all hoses aren't cracked or degrading, make sure there aren't any coolant leaks coming from anywhere, etc. Had to flush my cooling system a few times before i realized my t-stat was stuck shut and wasn't opening. IN the end all i needed was a new t-stat and ta-da problem solved. Oh and also make sure to bleed all your air out once you refill it with coolant, you'd be surprised what a tiny air buble can do
