Default Trouble Starting/SRS Light is on. 96 d16y8

My 96 EX coupe (d16y8) is having trouble starting and the SRS light is on. Every time I start it chugga chugs really labored like then it catches and runs totally normal. It does it every time I start it no matter if it was warm or not. I feel like it's my fuel pump or maybe my alternator?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks!

Last ignition system tune up? CEL codes?

The SRS light indicates an airbag system issue. Jump the service connector and retrieve the SRS code and then reset the SRS computer to clear the code to see if it returns.

Ok thanks. I honestly have never done an ignition system tune up. Would that entail distributor spark plugs etc?

Spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, and ignition timing. I think member HondaPartsHero has a DIY thread.

Any CEL codes? Click the codes link in my signature (also for SRS codes).
