I have a 98 honda civic lx auto
yesterday it was just reving up and wouldnt go nowhere
when its in drive it takes about 5 secs for it
to start rolling but I have to give it gas
I have code p0700 anf p0730
does it mean I have a bad tranny ?

 

I don't know what the codes mean, but maybe you should check the fluid. Only use Genuine Honda ATF in there.

If the fluid is good, you might need a torque converter. Lucky for you it is a Honda, so pull it back to 2nd when you need to get rolling. Just remember to put it in drive on time. I had to do that on my first ever Honda: a 1984 Accord. It worked for about a year, then I bought a Prelude and sold the 84 Accord for cheap.

 

What kibd of trans fluid is it ? I bought a quart from autozone
that must of caused the prob

 

No, it's not a fluid problem, no, it's not a torque converter problem. P0730 points specifically to your clutch pressure system. You can either get a FSM and follow the procedure for diagnosing and fixing it, or you can give me some time to find mine and find the procedure.

 

Its a automatic. Reverse works fine

The solenoids are part of the clutch pressure system, yes.
