Default Projector HID retrofit in stock housing - Cheapest ?

Whats the cheapest way to get HID project retromounted into the low beam position of the stock headlights?

All the HID projector kits I see on ebay are 'ugly'. They are not my style, but I do want better light output for my 94 and 99 Accords. The cleanest looking ones seem to be the retrofit kit, however, they are REALLY expensive. I do not need stock (expensive) HIDs. I just want something better than what I have. Can I just find some small projectors on ebay, then get some HIDs? What have you guys done, going in on a budget?

I hate these headlights:

I love these:

Cheapest way to do it correctly?

DEPO Blackhoused Headlights w/ H1 + H4 bulbs
Morimoto Mini H1 Projectors (come with H4 adapter plate)

Bake open the headlights, install the Morimotos and seal everything back up. You'll get pretty much exactly what you're looking at in the second picture provided you get the e46 shrouds (replica) with the Morimotos.

Whats the price estimate? Morimotos seem to be $270 for their kit. I dont need it to look like the one in the picture. I just want functional HID, dont need show quality. I will do it with my stock headlight housing, just clean them up a bit when I open it up.

If I can find cheaper projectors of similar size to Morimotos, the put the bulbs in their. Whats the H1 + H4 bulbs?

You could try the RetrofitSource. That's where I was planning on getting mine.

If you're not willing to spend $270, I'd suggest you stop looking at doing a proper HID housing that won't blind people and get you pulled over. $270 isn't much at all.

I sold my Morimoto Mini H1 Gen 3 kit for $120 BNIB locally. No HIDs but had the E46 replica shrouds and everything else. There are cheaper places to get them. There's a guy on HondaSociety that wholesales them or something which is where I got mine.

I recommended the H1 + H4 Depo's because the Minis will bolt right in. They do not fit in the 9005/9006 housing in the stock Accord lights (IIRC).

'Cheaper' projectors than the Morimotos aren't going to be HID projectors and are going to suck in terms of quality. Personally I feel Morimotos are the 'budget' build. Most guys opt for S2000, TSX, etc projectors which are double (or more) in terms of cost.
