Default Correct transmission oil for D15B Multimatic

Hi, I have an EG sedan and currently installing a D15B with Multimatic transmission from EK3. I am confused if I should use the Honda ATF fluid or the Honda CVT fluid.

Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks.

CVT fluid. Part numbers line up seperately for MT and AT, with CVT and Multimatic sharing listings.

Thanks jbpnoman. I really want to make sure first because I read in a different forum that the normal Honda ATF.should be used and not the CVT.

Your best bet would be to call your local Honda and ask them, but from EVERY lube manufacturer I looked at when you asked (four different companies) they all listed CVT/Multimatic as using the same fluid, with MT and AT having their own different fluids.

I could be completely wrong that's just what the part number searching told me.

Hi,.how many liters of cvt needed for a d15b multimatic transmission? I already put 3.5 liters and it seems not enough.Im afraid to overfill it. Would it really take at least 5 liters?

Thanks.

Dex. Or 10w30. 4.5 pints with an additive or 5 to 5.5 pints.

that_boy_sammy - are you pertaining to the amount of engine oil or transmission oil?

The regular automatics take about 6 with the torque converter. I'm not sure about the CVT as we never got them in Canada.
