Default OEM Heahlights or Aftermarket?

Just curious what other R owners are using for headlights. I put some cheap eBay HIDs in about two years ago that look good and increase night visibility and they are overall reliable. Same color as stock tsx or what you would find stock on 'newer' Acuras. I feel like these cars should have came with HIDs considering they did in Japan in the 90's, but on the other hand I feel inclined lately to put it back to stock for the sake of keeping it original. Thoughts? Lets discuss!

I personally use nothing but McCullough Hid's. 6000k. Have never had one issue with them, current set is 3yrs old and work perfectly.

For the sake of keeping it og? I'm sorry but that's funny. It's a light bulb, doesn't take a thread to figure it out. You say you modified your lights for performance sake, then say you want them stock. Sounds like your mind is made. I'll apologize in advance since I bet this will get some of your tighty white-ies bunched up, lol. Hids>halogens for the record.

I have never had a problem seeing the road in any condition with a good halogen bulb, such as a Silverstar or the like.

Aftermarket HID's are for looks only...anyone who says they are an upgrade are kinda fooling themselves. If looks are your thing, then that's fine. But I question anyone who says it helps them see better, especially since you can't get the precision out of an aftermarket kit that you can out of OEM HID's.

And all of my cars that have OEM HID's on them still run a normal halogen hi-beam bulb.

Maybe things have changed in the aftermarket conversion kits, but I have come away unimpressed every time I have driven a car with that upgrade.

Nothing wrong with HID's. I've been running a cheap(ish) kit for over 6 years now with no complaints and no issues. Purchased with the sole intention of style points. If they crapped out then I'd probably just go back to halogen bulbs.

I ran a retrofit(Audi A4) when I had USDM front, the light output was great.
