Default Did anybody resurfaced engine head at NAPA?

The machine shops are rare in my area in Northern Virginia. I found a NAPA store does that.
I read some reviews before calling them, and one of them was about how NAPA milled head with belt sanding machine, and it leaked again in less than 5000 miles. When he took it to other pro shop, they managed to mill it again, since NAPA milled it too much.
So, I called one near my home, and they said, they have the machine dedicated to head resurface. That they don't use belt sanding machine.

I guess there would be differences from same franchise by states. But I was wondering how I could verify if they are worthy of milling head for?
Is there any visual check I can do - how the machines look like and such clues - , when I visit the shop to see?

p.s. I have a private shop, who does head resurfacing, but they have two weeks appointments from now. I just wonder if I could do it sooner, because I have a head gasket leak.

Thanks in advance.
