Default Y8 head y7 bottom blocc

Hi guys I know this been ask a lot I seen the threads but I have a little more question . I got a 99 honda civic ex I blew my bottom end an I came across a free y7 bottom blocc so in order to throw this y7 bottom end in what do I have to do . The y8 head is still complete w everything . I just wanna know what else would I need please give me plenty of detail as you guys can please thanks for viewing and helping.

It's called a mini-me. Read the FAQ's sticky, there's an entire section dedicated to it.

Yes I seen it I seen plenty of thread but it didn't really help me out . I wanna know if I can use my 99 wire harness still or will I have to get a different harness an ecu

If you're asking a basic question like that, then you didn't really try to read and understand the mini-me threads. Yes, you can use your stock harness. Yes, you can use your stock ECU.

You don't have to do crap other than install the block and reconnect everything as if it was a stock y8.

Its a fairly simple process really. Unplug everything, lift, swap the head onto the new block, re-time, drop it in and plug everything back in. If you've never timed before, that's probably going to be the hardest part.

Yes. The blocks are the same other than pistons. This is why people do it. A small compression bump.

make sure to pull the oil plug outa the y7 block.

you do not remove the oil plug on the d16y blocks.
