Default rods

i just found out that in the engine i bought one of the rods was broken and i needed to know what kind of rods would be good and the price one them...i also wanted to know about port and polish and how good does it do to the engine and on some valve springs or somthing like that thanks a bunch -ro-

Get OEM rods unless you have some major plans for the motor in the future. (200+ hp).

PP jobs work wonders, if done correctly.. Very much worth it, when used with new cam, etc.

Have the block carefully inspected. It's nearly impossible to break a rod and not destroy the block too.

if you're planning on getting a turbo kit, get Crower Rods.

Screw crower, they've been overcharging us import guys for years now. They sell 8 domestic rods for almost the same price that we pay them for only 4 rods. Get Eagle rods, $350 and they will support more power than you'll ever put through them.
