I have a 95 Accord EX, 2.2L VTEC, 147K miles. In the wet, cold mornings here in the state of WA, my car will start normally and run like a champ; however, when I go to start the car around lunch time, it will start and then immediately shut off. If I do NOT turn the key all the way to the off position and try to restart, the engine just runs and will not start. If I DO turn the key to the off position and back to accessory setting to start, the engine will fire and then shut off. No check engine light. No leaks. No smell of fuel or other fluids. Engine does not overheat...

I need some advice as to what could be causing this and where I can start to try and find the problem. I feel like it is an electrical problem, possibly the main relay that controls the fuel pump.

PLEASE HELP!! Any suggestions would be great!

 

Sounds like ignition switch/lock cylinder culprit.
