Default Car Won't Start, ignition won't respond, driver door won't lock

Hi all,

My gf had a weird issue this morning in her 2005 civic LX in automatic. It has about 115k miles. She drove about 7-10 miles to the train station just like normal. Turned off the car, went to lock the door with the remote and it wouldn't work. Driver door actually does lock with the key, but the lock mechanism will not work from the inside. Seems like it is stuck and the power locks will lock and unlock the passenger side but not driver. She stuck the key in the shift lock slot and the transmission won't shift either. When she tried to start it, she gets the clicking and the dash lights are going crazy.

Sounds like the battery, but how does anything explain the door lock or the transmission?

Anyone experience this before?

The dash lights are definitely the battery. the main Power wires on mine were corroded and I had to clean the two copper wires for the positive side and replace the battery terminal clamp. Somehow the accessory your trying to actuate must not be getting enough power from the battery to function properly. Very likely they are related. Good luck let us know your find.
