what are symptoms of a seized motor?
other than the fact that it wont start. the car cranks, but it wont turn on.....i think i i had a little less than 2 qts of oil in there....i was actually on my way to get some oil. car shut down at a traffic light
...had to tow it home. i think the motor might be seized.
anyways, went to get oil, and put in 2 qts. checked the dipstick and oil level is actually a lot higher now than the 4 qt mark.

Seized motors are usually accompanied by:
1 A loud and unexpected noise
2 A sour feeling in the pit of your stomach
3 The inability for the crank to turn significantly thereafter!
The last motor I seized dropped a valve, gernaded the respective piston, and turned the rod into a pretzel. Everything stayed within the cast iron jacket however, making cleanup a snap.
From your description, you may have gotten off easy with just some ignition or other failure on your way to buy oil.

if you had two quarts in there, you are fine man. The LAST(as in never again) time I had my oil changed at the dealership they didn't tighten the drain plug, so it started to back out while driving and weeped a couple quarts while driving a few miles to another store. About 10k miles later, my engine is running like a champ...oh, except it won't make a damned spark now

I'd check for spark and fuel. most likely your problem. once I had a distributor explode right after changing my oil, too. I thought I'd run it dry and I was screwed haha.

compression:
#1: 160
#2: 170
#3: 175
#4: 180
obviously #1 is dying, but i dont think that will prevent the car from starting. dont think its my head gasket cuz i never saw any white smoke coming from that area; i wasnt even boosting, and i have some compression.
ah man, guess i better save up for a gsr swap
i dont think its a fuel problem, not sure about spark....how would i check if it was getting spark? tia.

pull the plug wire, put a screwdriver on the end of it,set it next to something metal on the car and turn the key,you should see a spark, unless you have a timing light, then just attach the timing light.
